Review 1
The magic that Jimmy Smith and Stanley Turrentine created together never failed to produce masterful music. This album was Smith's last for Blue Note before moving to Verve. Turrentine and Smith's trio dig in on some great '40s material like "Red Top" and the Louis Jordan hit "Stone Cold Dead In The Market," but it's always the blues (the title tune) that steals the show. Two tracks by the same personnel from an earlier session complete the CD.
