One of the most smoldering sessions by the Hutcherson quintet with Harold Land. Vocals by Gene McDaniels bracket each piece and the group is expanded to include guitar and congas. Joe Chambers and Candido make a fiery drum team. Added to the original album are versions of three of the tunes by Hutcherson's 1978 quintet and the L.A. Philharmonic. All of this music is on CD for the first time, mastered from the original analog tapes in 24-bit.
