Ledgerwood first became a familiar figure on the Manhattan Jazz scene in the early 80's at Bradley's and later appearing with Red Mitchell, George Marx, and Eddie Gomez. On this CD, her second effort as a leader for SteepleChase, the trio performs compositions by Coltrane, Bill Evans, and Herbie Hancock among others as well as two ledgewood originals. |
