Punnone tacks compositions by many of the 20th century's finest jazz guitarists including Raney, Reindardt, Ven Epps, Pass, and Farlow among others over ten performances on this CD which marks his third effort as a leader for SteepleChase. Purrone, a veteran of the east coast jazz scene, has been often seen in bands lead by Jimmy Heath, Frank Foster, Dave Liebman, Lee Konitz, Wayne Shorter, and Joe Henderson among others. |
