Review 1
The second and the horn section of the Heath Brothers, Jimmy (b. October 25, 1926 in Philadelphia) has long been established himself as composer/arranger contributing memorable tunes for some of the Miles Davis recordings. As a performer Jimmy Heath has been associated with Howard McGhee, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, Kenny Dorham among others.
Here with his working group including his younger brother Tootie on drums, "good old reliable" Jimmy Heath "blows at top form". (Cadence) |
