The master trumpeter from Herbie Hancock's first band made his first recording for SteepleChase after several years' absence from the scene. Evolving from the Miles Davis sound of the late 60s Henderson's playing has developed into a very intriguing personal style. The marvellous rhythm section here includes Joe Locke on vibraphone on his first gig for SteepleChase.
