Review 1
Veteran blues-jazz saxophonist Red Holloway (b. May 31, 1927 in Helena, Arkansas) turned pro while still at Chicago Music School in 1943 by joining the Gene Wright band. Later he formed his own group as well as played with Lionel Hampton, Ben Webster and other giants.
In this Copenhagen session with the first rate Euro-American rhythm section, Holloway blows with fire. |
