Review 1
Red Mitchell (1927- 1992) was known for his original improvisation style and his retuned bass sound. He performed and recorded with Billie Holiday, Jimmy Ranye, Gerry Mulligan, Hampton Hawes, etc. In the late 60s Mitchell moved to Sweden and played in Europe with such visiting American musicians as Dizzy Gillespie and Phil Woods.
