Review 1
Composer of famous jazz tunes such as "No Problem" or "Jordu" Duke Jordan (b. April 1, 1922 in New York) is a highly imaginative and original master of piano. Duke Jordan's early breakthrough came in 1946 when Charlie Parker invited Jordan to join his new band with Miles Davis, Max Roach and Tommy Potter.
The 70s was Duke's most productive period and this recording with the competent backing of Philly Joe and Friesen is among the best albums he made for SteepleChase. |
