American-Puerto Rican Hilton Ruiz (b. May 29, 1952 in New York) was classically trained as a child, played in Latin bands as a teenager and later studied jazz with Mary Lou Williams. This is Hilton's third album on SteepleChase. (earlier releases SCH 31036 "Piano Man" & SCH 31078 "Excition")
