It has long been a dream for Dexter to record an album with orchestra with strings. The dream came true on his second album after he became exclusive recording artist for SteepleChase. Many years passed since then but Dexter had still called this recording his favourite and best in one of the interviews before his death.
The orchestra here consists of members from the Royal Danish Orchestra, The Danish National Radio Symphony Orchestra and The Danish Radio Big Band. The arranger/conductor (and trumpeter) Palle Mikkelborg has also arranged and conducted Miles Davis's last recording with strings orchestra for CBS.
