Review 1
Charlie Parker's favourite pianist, though never recorded with him, Joe Albany (1924 - 1988 ) was legendary in his time. After a lengthy seclusion from the scene. Rediscovered in the 70s just in time to leave some great recordings.
"...The best music comes on Two's Company, where the duets with bassist NHØP are elaborately conceived and confidently despatched..." (The Penguin Guide to JAZZ, new edition) |
